Transformation is everywhere. Driven by technological, individual and societal forces transformation creates uncertainty. What are the ultimate causes of transformation taking place and how can companies manage the uncertainty? A case study will be used to answer these questions and provide a framework for a comprehensive, corporate innovation strategy.
In this sessions, two case studies will be used, one focusing on a company that is navigating the future of our food system and one focusing on a company that is in the middle of IoT driven transformation. These will illustrate current thinking about the forces driving transformation, how these forces are creating uncertainty for companies and how companies are developing innovation strategies to manage this uncertainty. Supplementary material, including the Aspen Institute Report on ‘Navigating Continuous Disruption’, will be used to illuminate the underlying factors present in the real-world examples provided by the case studies.
